Pure Noise Records and Pabst Blue Ribbon announce 'Dead Formats Volume 2'

Pure Noise Records and Pabst Blue Ribbon join forces once more to release Dead Formats Volume 2 on September 8, a 15-track compilation where Pure Noise artists breathe new life into iconic hits by the likes of Elton John, New Radicals, The Kinks, and Taking Back Sunday.

The concept of the Dead Formats series originated as an avenue for fans to explore fresh, like-minded artists, reminiscent of the iconic compilations of the past, such as Atticus' Dragging The Lake and Punk O Rama. With Dead Formats Volume 2, this concept expands to encompass a diverse range of artists from various eras.

Josh Feingold, Senior Director of Marketing Partnerships at Pabst Blue Ribbon, said about the release:

"PBR has a long history of engaging and supporting artists so for us to be able to work with Pure Noise is really special. We love this concept and knowing that the artists involved had fun putting this together makes it all rewarding. We hope it's a record that inspires discovery and nostalgia from the legendary comps."

The release features Pure Noise Records artists like Less Than Jake, who covers The Kinks' "Come Dancing," and Knuckle Puck, who breathes new life into Third Eye Blind's "Losing A Whole Year." Additionally, Lavalove offers their unique rendition of Nirvana's "Lithium."
