Gig: Lake Malice @ The Star and Garter, Manchester

Lake Malice by Nic Howells

Lake Malice, a rising force in heavy music, has been making waves since long before the release of their debut EP Post-Genesis via SO Recordings last October. Now, amidst their inaugural headline tour across the UK, they grace Manchester’s The Star and Garter stage with their unmistakable energy and raw talent.

Joining Lake Malice on this electrifying night was Artio, a self-produced Gen-Z quartet hailing from Leeds who just this month released their debut album Babyface via Slam Dunk Records. Their incendiary blend of electronica-infused alt-rock anthems, deeply rooted in queer rage and the trans experience, resonates with a sense of urgency and authenticity that is both refreshing and empowering.
